The Real Chicago Winter circa 2011

Wintry Chicago (Jan '11)

All of us here in Chicago appears to have completely forgotten how cold Chicago can be. The mild winter and the warmest of Spring is helping us in hastily forgetting the bite of the bitter Chicago cold circa January 2011. Here’s a beautiful reminder.

I took this photo from the Navy Pier last year around, I want to say, 6-ish in the evening. It was so COLD but totally worth it. The frozen, chunky lake, the pinkish hue of the sky and lit up cityscape – picture perfect! You must forgive the picture clarity – I took it on my old phone. My only regret is that I wish I had invested in a better camera that day.
